FDNY Pipes and Drums wreath laying ceremony at Engine Company 10

09/11/2010 - 7:11pm
09/11/2010 - 7:30pm
Etc/GMT-5

As tradition has it the FDNY Pipes and Drums will have their wreath laying ceremony on the side of 10 and 10 where the massive plaque is located that lists all the Firefighters who were killed. The Band lost two of its members on September 11th, Band Chaplain Father Mychal Judge and Drummer Durrell "Bronko" Pearsall. Every year the band goes to this sacred ground at dusk and holds our own wreath laying ceremony. The wreath is laid by the senior members of the pipe band as the whole band plays on. Feel free to join us as we play to remember our own and every other innocent life that was lost.

Dear Friends and Supporters,

The New York City Fire Department Emerald Society Pipes and Drums will be holding their 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner Celebration on September 15th, 2012 at CitiField. We are trying to make this a very special event in light of the fact that only a few of our founding members are still with us today. We are seeking support from you and/or your company as a sponsor of our 50th Anniversary Gala Dinner Celebration. We hope you will be able to join us (Read more)
