Firefighter James Gersbeck and Firefighter Robert Weidmann were burned at a fire in Brooklyn the week before Christmas. They will both be going through a tough long rehab and could use some help for their families. Please click the link below to see how you can help.

The FDNY Pipes and Drums would like to send our condolences to the Chicago Fire Department who lost two firemen this morning December 22nd. The two firemen were identified as Edward Stringer, a 12-year veteran, and Cory Ankum, a member of the department for less than two years. The vacant building that they were operating in collapsed trapping many of their members. Sadly 2 did not survive the collapse and our hearts go out to their families during this holiday season. The FDNY Pipes and Drums would like to extend the warmest wishes to all of our friends as we come into the holiday season. The Band has some great plans for the upcoming year and we look forward to sharing them with all of you.

The band is sad to announce the death of Billy Hewitson which occured on Monday November 29th 2010. Billy has been a long time color guard member in the FDNY Pipes and Drums and was a long time member of Rescue 2 in Brooklyn. He will be missed. His funeral will be held on LI on Thursday, check back for more info as it becomes available.
